July: Running of the Bulls – Pamplona, Spain
One of the world's great festivals and a must for all travellers. From midday on the 6th July to the climax of the candlelight procession at midnight on the 14th July, this is a true party! September: Oktoberfest – Munich, Germany
Oktoberfest? or the Munich Beerfest? Actually they both mean the same thing - A huge party! Originally a one off event staged to celebrate the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig and his bride Therese of Saxony. The party was so popular it became an annual celebration that has continued for 170 years. Set up in circus-style big-tents, the event takes place over a two week period at Munich's festival grounds.
