Hogmanay New Year's Eve Festival
The Scots have a long rich heritage associated with this event - and have their own name for it, Hogmanay. In 2005/6, XS was there to witness major international artists performing on four stages as part of the Royal Bank Street Party (along with 100,00 other party goers)! Set in one of the world's most impressive natural venues, beautifully framed by the backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, the music and fireworks spectacular is back in 06/07 and is bigger and better than before!

The Edinburgh Fringe Festival
Every year in August, the population of Edinburgh physically doubles during the world renowned Fringe Festival. With over 1,867 performances, the festival includes, theatre, comedy, music, shows, exhibitions and more. One of the highlights includes the Royal Military Tattoo – showcasing military bands and dancers from across the globe. The full list of events can be found at edfringe.com
