Scottish Highland Tour - Sunday
This is the Monster of all day trips and you'll never forget it! A guided coach will pick you up in the wee hours and whisk you off through misted glens and the shadows of imposing mountains. Crossing the Forth Road Bridge we travel north towards the Perthshire Mountains, where in the homeland of the clans we'll stop for coffee. Climbing up into the empty wilds of the Monadhliath Mountains we head into Monarch of the glen country.
Stopping at Spean Bridge for lunch you can prepare yourself for some monster spotting with a free nip of whisky! At Loch Ness enjoy a one hour cruise (optional extra) aboard the Royal Scot, one of the most sophisticated vessels on Loch Ness.
Turning south we travel under the shadow of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain. Afternoon refreshment is taken at the entrance of Glencoe, scene of the notorious massacre of the MacDonald Clan. Lastly we make our way towards Stirling the back drop for the wars of independence. As you pass under impressive Stirling Castle hear stories of William Wallace and King Robert the Bruce. You will touch and experience the magic of the Scottish Highlands, only to be dropped off safe and snug back to the lights of Edinburgh city by nightfall.
